The theremin was invented by a Russian scientist named Leon or Liev Theremin in about 1915. It's the first electronic instrument and is played without touching it. It was mastered by a pretty, young virtuoso named Clara Rockmore.
Roman Polanski had a weakness for young women. He probably still does, but his age might be catching up to him. He's now exiled in France, though still making fine motion pictures. His wife, Sharon Tate, was murdered by the Manson Family in 1969. She was with child.
Electricity seems to be the theme here. At least if you stretch the definition of the word and your imagination a bit. Can electricity have emotion? I think it can if it's channeled through a theremin. Sadness. Loneliness. The theremin can express those emotions well.
