Ex-Peppercorn front man, Bill Taylor, is back with a vengeance in his latest band, Songs For Snakes. Peppercorn were deep alumni of the Noise Pop shows, and Bill is keeping the rock solidly alive. Think Jawbreaker/Jawbox, mixed with Drive like Jehu/Hot Snakes/Rocket from the Crypt.
This stuff seriously rocks and the world was in dire need of tune-age like this. With a tight rhythm section, punchy post-rock guitars and emotive vocals, Songs For Snakes are destined to make a significant mark on the scene. Fingers-crossed, I hope they come to LA and play soon. ;)
