I was having a conversation today about this retro future shit and it reminded me of this track from Supertronic. Supertronic made one album called Wire Fire in the mid 90's. I guess you could call it "electro-acoustic noisepop." It's an audio mashup before there were "mashups." If Negativland puked after being electrocuted and some beat freak cleaned up the mess, you might get Supertronic. "Electricity" is one of the goofier tracks. It features the following instruments: electricity, a short wave radio, a dot matrix printer, ground coffee, a light theremin, a vacuum, and steamed milk. I like it because of the robot. It also happens to be my band.
electric. we should use this as a soundtrack for our retro project.
